“We were referred to TWICE by a friend and paid Kelly a visit. After feeling an immediate connection, Kelly came to our home that same day and we launched a really great partnership. She listened to our ideas and thoughts around the vision we had for the re-design of our home. She made it a point to honor where we wanted to go but at the same time, challenged our vision and pushed us to think more openly and creatively.
We particularly valued her clear expertise in the areas of design and architecture. We learned from her appreciation for quality, history, color choices, textures & fabrics, when it came to making the important decisions in the re-design process. As we applied finishing touches, Kelly painstakingly guided us through just the right placement of our existing furniture, heirlooms, art & accessories, blending it all perfectly with our new additions. Her unwavering standard for quality in her work is undeniable!
Our home has an entirely different look! We love it and so does everyone who comes to visit. TWICE was a total pleasure to work with!!”

“The results exceeded my wildest expectations!
I am so pleased with my entire experience of working with Kelly and Twice.
I planned to replace my inherited 1940’s dining set, as it had been abused throughout the years. Then I met Kelly at the One of A Kind show; impressed with her ability to bring new life to vintage pieces, I asked her what she thought was possible with my dingy dining set. Kelly worked with me to determine the new finish and helped me to select the fabric that matched both the style of the table and the decor of my place.
I couldn’t be more pleased with how it turned out! I revived a family heirloom and
I look forward to many, many more family dinners.”

“I initially contacted Kelly shortly after I purchased by condominium. I wanted her input on the wall paint color that would best compliment my red, patterned couches. I saw this task as quite a challenge, as red is not an easy color to work with. During the consultation in my condominium, Kelly listened to my vision for my place and then proceeded to suggest several different routes for making my vision come true. Instead of getting just a consultation
on paint color, I had the opportunity to give my place a complete make-over.
Under Kelly’s guidance, my condo was transformed into a beautiful, unique space that reflects my personal style. During the design process, Kelly emphasized the need to look at the condominium as a unified space, so that each room would be part of a whole instead of an isolated space. Kelly helped me choose wall paint color and wall design for each of the rooms. I also had an opportunity to visit Kelly’s store and purchase a refinished china hutch; Kelly made sure the wall color tied back to color scheme of the lining paper inside the hutch. Kelly also assisted with choosing the hardwood floor color that would best suit the color palette on my walls. From her unfinished inventory, I purchased an antique maple dining table and chairs at Twice, which were custom upholstered and refinished.
Kelly’s final recommendation was to top off the space with a black chandelier.
Kelly has an amazing sense of balance of colors and textures, and I have been lucky to have her by my side to dissuade me from certain design decisions that would have led to the place looking like a circus. Every time I walk into my condo, I am amazed at how chic and well put together my home is due to Kelly’s astounding work.
Thank you, Kelly!
“Twelve years ago I purchased a vintage condominium in Chicago. I loved many of its features: 2000+ square feet, 9 foot ceilings, crown moldings, large formal dining room, and wood floors throughout. There was one major flaw – the small master bedroom closet. I wanted to add an entire wall of custom closets, but each time I submitted my design for a bid, the cost was prohibitive. Then I had the good fortune of meeting Kelly Rauch. Kelly’s bid for the closet construction and installation was several thousand dollars lower than my previous bids. In addition, Kelly suggested several design modifications to improve function and appearance. I could not be more thrilled with the completed project. Features include soft-close drawer slides and inset mirrors on the interior doors. And the craftsmanship is top-notch. I will enjoy the beauty and functionality of my new closets for many, many years.
Since my closet installation, Kelly has helped me with the following:
• Conversion of small closet to an open kitchen pantry
• Replacement of master bedroom light fixture, purchased from Twice
• Replacement dining room table and chairs – antique walnut table and 8 hand-carved chairs – purchased, refinished and reupholstered at Twice
Kelly never ceases to amaze me with her creativity, design expertise, and access to resources and trade professionals.
I hope you have the good fortune to work with Kelly Rauch on your next design project.

The happiest part of any project is the smile on our client’s face as they see their restored furniture, or move that new piece into just the right space in their homes. Here are a few recent projects, and what our clients have said about the experience…
“We have been so pleased with the items we have purchased from Twice over the past few years,
and even more so with the design assistance we’ve received from Kelly.
She has always recommended beautiful pieces for our Chicago style bungalow, and the dining room set she uncovered at an estate sale served as the centerpiece of a stunning transformation of our dining room performed by Kelly and her associates. In addition to her masterful restoration and reupholstery work on these and other pieces within our home, she helped us with selecting colors and with sourcing vintage lighting fixtures. Her wall treatment in the dining room continues to surprise and delight all those who see it.”
